The Wind Spire is a new Wind Turbine design good for both rural and urban environments. The Spire is approximately 9m tall and can be used in the suburbs, unlike the traditional horizontal axis turbines that are very large and are only suitable for the countryside. The Wind Turbines are very fast and killed birds in some areas, and were noisy, but the Spire is barely audible, and moves at average speeds. The Spire was designed as an Environment friendly initiative, and is handy as the world moves towards ‘Greening’. The first test was run in Utah. The wind Speeds and power produced can be tested by a monitoring system running on a computer in the house, with the communication being wireless.
